About

Kat M. Garcés is a Colombian-American mixed media collage artist and graphic designer based in South Florida. Born in New York City, and raised between Miami and Naples, FL- her work blends surreal collage and personal archives to explore memory, identity, and the inner worlds shaped over time. Drawing from vintage books, magazines, and intuitive composition, she reconstructs fragments of the past into new visual narratives that reflect on distance, self-awareness, and transformation.

Her practice continues to evolve through new collections and collaborative projects, including work connected to the music community. Kat studied Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, where she earned an Associate of Science degree and received the award for Best Portfolio. She has worked across a range of brands and currently applies her design expertise within the public sector.
