About

Kat M. Garcés is a Colombian-American mixed media collage artist and graphic designer based in South Florida. Born in New York City, and raised between Miami and Naples, FL- her work blends surreal collage, personal archives, and memory-driven storytelling to explore identity, generational patterns, and the inner worlds we carry from childhood into adulthood. Using vintage books, magazines, and intuitive composition, she reconstructs fragments of the past into new narratives about self-awareness, healing, and evolution. She is currently expanding her memory-based practice through new collections and collaborative projects within the music community.

Kat studied at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, where she earned an Associate of Science degree in Graphic Design and won the award for best portfolio. She has extensive experience in graphic design, having worked for various brands and currently contributing her expertise in the public sector.
