Campaign Design · in-house work
Heelys x Harlem Globetrotters
A campaign design project for the Harlem Globetrotters × Heelys footwear launch. As an in-house Junior Graphic Designer, I developed layouts and graphics using existing brand assets, creating a cohesive visual experience across digital promotions, the Moxy NYC Downtown launch event, and arena displays.
The Challenge
How could I use existing brand assets to create cohesive graphics for a footwear launch across digital promotion, event signage, and arena screens?
Research
I worked with product photography, the two brands' existing assets, and Harlem Globetrotters action photography as the starting point for the campaign layouts.
Development
For the release-event window graphics, I intuitively made the shoe the focal point across central panels. Black-and-grey action shots linked it to the team and helped the colorful product stand out- both brand logos framed the partnership.
Resolution
For the Moxy NYC Downtown preview activation, I designed graphics and signage that brought the partnership into the event space. Digital promotional assets supported the launch, while Jumbotron and LED ribbon graphics extended the campaign into the arena.
The result was a coordinated set of campaign graphics supporting the footwear launch across digital, event, and sports entertainment settings.
Reflection
As a junior designer, this project taught me how two established brands can collaborate while maintaining their individual identities. I learned how to bring their visual languages together into a cohesive campaign without compromising what makes each brand recognizable.
